Lonnie and I have been together since September 1999. We met through some mutual friends up at the "parking lot" (there wasn't much going on in the small town we grew up in). I had a boyfriend at the time, but I quickly realized he wasn't for me because I kept thinking about Lonnie. A few weeks passed before I got to see him again after that first night. And, when I did see him, I knew I liked him.
We started dating. Three years later, on my 18th birthday, we were engaged. I wasn't in any hurry to get married...I knew we were going to be together and I was still young. We bought our first house together in 2005. And, finally, four years after our engagement, we were married in Ocho Rios, Jamaica in 2006. We had a small wedding in a gazebo overlooking the ocean. It was perfect for us!
After four years of marriage, we decided to have a baby! Well, we weren't exactly trying to have a baby yet, but on December 22, we got a big fat positive!
And, nine months later, our baby boy arrived and completely changed the world as we knew it....
