6 Month Stats!

Gavin had his 6 month check up today. He got two shots and an oral vaccine. He must have been hungry because as soon as the nurse stuck the oral vaccine in his mouth, he sucked it down in no time! He took it like a pro! His shots on the other hand.....he did not like his shots today. He screamed bloody murder for about 5 minutes afterwards....he just screamed and cried and cried! It about broke my heart. Poor little stinker!


Weight: 15 lbs (10th percentile)
Height: 26 in (30th percentile)
Head: 43 cm (30th percentile)

He made major improvements with his growth this time. Still small of course, but he's heading in the right direction at least!

Oh, and my little boy has two teeth now! He cut them late last week. I've been trying to get a picture of them for a couple days but everything I try to pry his mouth open he sticks out his tongue and covers them up! Oh well. Maybe one day....

4 Month Stats...a little late

Gavin had his 4 month wellness check on January 6. Overall, he's doing awesome! He's meeting all of his milestones. He's still on the small side, but he's thriving and growing along his own growth curve.

His 4 month stats were:
Weight: 12 lbs
Height: 24 inches

After his 4 month pedi appointment, we decided to go ahead and start him on solids. He was staring us down when we were eating and starting to open his mouth when he saw us eating so it was time! This picture was from his first time with cereal. He wasn't too sure about it at first but he ended up eating almost all of it. Since then, he's had sweet potatoes and butternut squash. He likes the veggies much better than the cereal.

One Month Stats

Gavin had his one month well baby visit yesterday. Oh my gosh. One month old already. Where has this last month gone??

Gavin currently weighs 7 lbs 7.5 oz. This is a huge improvement! He was 6 lbs 5 oz when he was born, decreased to 5 lbs 11 oz and has slowly been gaining since. They say he's still very small in comparison, but that they aren't worried. Considering I am 4'10" and was 88 lbs pre-pregnancy I don't think it is a shock to anyone that I have a small baby.

Developmentally, he's doing really well. He's doing everything that they say he should be doing by his next well baby check up. And he's grown an inch since his last appointment. Overall, he's a healthy little boy which is all I can ask for.
